Sinners - Twisting Nether Casual Raid Guild

Our aim here at BlackLodge is to take part in the end-game raid content that Wrath of the Lich King has to offer. These raids, beginning with Naxxramas, are not the child's play 5-man instances many of us are familiar with. You don't just hit 80 and walk into Naxx to clean house. Naxxramas is a real challenge. This raid will require 10 or 25 well-coordinated raid group members. Expect any run to last at least 4 hours when we first get to Naxx. Even then, it is highly likely that boss progression will take place over a few days. One needs to prepare for Naxxramas and that is what BlackLodge is focusing on helping you with right now!

If your character is under level 70, your first priority should be to level to 70 as fast as possible. Or take your time if you prefer, because who we are really addressing this post to are those already at level 70 or higher. You need to level and get geared as you do. We need level 80 players with gear for Heroics and Raids. If you are at or above level 70 you should be working on a few things... first, you should be learning all that you can about your class and their role in an instance, a heroic and a raid. Second, you should be assessing your needs based on this information to determine what gear you need. Officers are here to assist with this. There are online resources such as the wowarmory.com that you can use to find information on not only your class and spec but specifically look at your character sheet and find gear upgrades and how to get them. At this point you need to start working with the 80s and the Officers in the guild. If you need to run Utgarde Keep to get the gear you need, we need to meet your needs!

This month we will be setting up several instance groups almost daily to get players from level 70 to level 80 and gear them with the best we can so that we will all be prepared for Heroics. We do not skip to the Raid just yet, oh no. Once we have a solid group of geared level 80 players we need to start running Heroics together.

Heroics are where the game gets even more fun and challenging. All of those same Northrend instances we just finished will now need to be completed on the Heroic difficulty enough times to meet the requirements for a competent Naxxramas group.

A competent Naxxramas group will include a minimum of 10 and preferably 25 dedicated individuals with congruent schedules. By this I mean, we need to set a time 1-3 times a week that a full raid group can and will be available and ready. Beyond that we have some gear requirements for these individuals as well. They are as follows:

Minimum Requirement for Tanks

* Defense Rating: 540 (Defense Cap)
* Health: 25k
* Armor: 21k+

Minimum Requirement for DPS class

* All dps class should have at least more than 1.2k dps… 1.5k would be ideal.
* Classes whose dps depends on Attack Power should have at least 2.5k Attack Power.
* Classes whose dps depends on Spell Power should have at least 1350 Spell Power.
* Dps should have at least 75% towards the hit cap.

Minimum Requirement for Healers

* Healers should have at least 1400 Bonus Heal
* 160 MP5 (mana regeneration while in combat)

Note: A resto Druid or a resto Shamman would be really good to have in the raid group as a lot of the bosses do Poison damage in Naxxramas. For example Maexxana in Arachnid Quarter casts ‘Necrotic Poison’ (Reduces healing taken by 90% for 30 seconds) to targets in melee range in front of Maexxna, generally the tank. If the tank is not cleansed from this poison immediately then that’s a guaranteed wipe. Abolish Poison (Druid spell) is the most effective way to remove it.
